OnePlus 6T: Pictures show waterdrop notch
The rumors have come true: The successor of the OnePlus 6 , which is expected to be released in two weeks, has a notch in water droplet design. The recess at the top edge of the display is much smaller than the predecessor. The AMOLED display itself has a resolution of 6.41 inches and resolves 2.340 x 1.080 pixels. At a ratio of 19.5 to 9, this would give a pixel density of 403 ppi.
What the OnePlus 6T wants to look like is no longer a secret. Here the variant in the coloration Mirror Black:
OnePlus 6T: Small upgrade to the OnePlus 6
In the T models, OnePlus is almost traditionally more of a small upgrade than the big one. Also, the OnePlus 6T will be no exception. Although the display has become even more complete and the notch less prominent, but apart from that, the innovations are limited. The smartphone should continue to appear in the familiar design. Also, the colors of the backside have most likely not been updated. This is what the variant in Midnight Black looks like:
The installed hardware has minimal changes compared to the OnePlus 6. The battery will probably grow from 3,300 mAh to 3,700 mAh. A rear camera with three lenses, however, is off the table, the OnePlus 6T will “only” have a dual camera. Otherwise, it remains with a fast Snapdragon 845, the up to 8 GB of RAM are available. As far as the permanent memory is concerned, there is still no reliable information. It is quite possible that OnePlus makes 128 GB standard here. Android 9.0 Pie is preinstalled from the beginning.
OnePlus 6T: integrated in-display fingerprint sensor
A real innovation is likely to be integrated directly into the display fingerprint sensor, which has long been rumors. On the press pictures no classic scanner can be seen on the back of the smartphone.
Unlike the OnePlus 6, the OnePlus 6T lacks the classic headphone jack, which has been criticized by fans . If you do not use Bluetooth or USB Type C headphones, you have to live with an adapter.
Whether OnePlus might still have a surprise in hand, then we know in two weeks. The OnePlus 6T will be presented on October 16th.
