Reportedly, Apple will now divert production of the iPhone Xr to Foxconn . This also points to Foxconn as the main contractor to produce cheap iPhone with the LCD screen. Yes! You could say, this is a transition from Pegatron , previously designated by Apple as the main contractor.
Pegatron initially believed Apple to produce iPhone Xr around 50 to 60 percent. On the other hand, about 30 percent will be carried out by Foxconn. However, due to problems with the delivery of key components and delayed capacity, Apple was forced to transfer orders.
Now, Pegatron only holds less than 30 percent of iPhone Xr production. Therefore, Pegatron must fight hard so they can produce iPhone Xr in accordance with Apple’s request. In fact, Pegatron himself was also in trouble because of a shortage of workers at his factory in China.
Another problem that also arises and no less makes Apple a little inflamed is the unstable supply of IPS screens used for the iPhone Xr from Japan Display (JDI) . Of course, the question will arise, can Apple solve all the problems?
The iPhone Xr is packaged by Apple with a 6.1-inch LCD screen and has a resolution of 828 x 1792 pixels. The smartphone which is also powered by Apple A12 Bionic comes in three storage options, namely 64 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB. And Apple sells this smartphone starting at US $ 750 .
